Obsessed (2009) Full Movie Divx

This would've been a decent romance affair thriller if it weren't for all the unintentional comedy that happens along the way as the result of a poorly executed film. There are times when you feel like it could have a potential to be worth watching but then something happens that would... just crack you up. Nothing's funnier than a person who takes too seriously and OBSESSION is an example of that. The movie's only exciting part is the girl fight at the end, but even that could use a better choreography.

The writing is weak, some of the dialogue they had the actors say are borderline ridiculous. When it's supposed to be serious, it comes off comical. But it does a good job of building up Ali Larter's character to be this crazy nemesis that audience just hates. She makes your usual stalker seem like a harmless fan. Once again, the movie has the potential to be decent, even the marital arguments between Idris Elba and Beyonce's characters concerning brutal honesty is quite raw for a PG-13 and for a moment there it actually demands your attention but then comes the funny lookin' lingerie in the car, Ali Larter swinging the bat in the attic during the fight and Jerry O'Connell's unbelievably annoying presence.. he should've been removed from the story completely.

Filmmaker Steve Hill should've kept the cameras on close-up pan and just constantly showed intensity that would engage the audience instead of making it feel like we're watching a Tyler Perry movie. But what'd ya expect,.. Hill's directing experiences all these years have been TV gigs.

Whenever I'm asked if Beyonce's a good actress , I always say she's a better singer than she is an actress but I can see she's improving a bit in OBSESSED but you can sense she's still holding back and not immersing herself completely in her character.

It's scary to think that I actually know some women who are much like her character.. when her mind's made up, it's gonna take a long time to change it, because even when you're right, you're still wrong.

Idris Elba whose best performance to date was still his role in the series The Wire, is the man that in the middle of two angry women. The man that's being fought over by two very attractive women. Some guys would find that flattering but then again, some guys don't graduate college.

Ali Larter is the right girl for this job, she's the new Glenn Close of Fatal Attraction. The only thing that hurts Larter's performance is the limit that the movie seems to put on her, otherwise.. if unleashed, I think Larter could do some serious damage and get some major recognition for it.
